Glucorect is mainly used in cases of hyperglycemia, where the patient is in significant insulin resistance, but not yet gone into frank diabetes. Insulin resistance is not to be handled by monotherapy with Glucorect. A complete program includes dietary modification to reduce glycemic index and glycemic load of foods eaten. Reduction of insulin resistance requires balancing fatty acid status and repletion with nutrients such as vitamin D, chromium, zinc, magnesium, and all of the B vitamins. A patient on the edge of diabetes will require large amounts of antioxidants, such as good combination flavonoid formulas and lipoic acid. The need for Glucorect must be  differentiated from the need for Speci-Chol. Speci-Chol is more for actual pancreatic drainage and regulation, when the pancreas is dysregulated or irritated from the presence of heavy metals or microbial toxins, but not actually in endocrine dysfunction.
